Jayne Davis Gosney, 90, of Binghamton passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Jayne was born an only child to Mildred and Harry Davis on November 9, 1931. Jayne is predeceased by her loving husband Jack; her son James, her daughter Karen Barnes, her brother in law and sister in law Bob and Sophie Gosney.

Jayne graduated from Saint Paul's High School in 1949 where she met the love of her life Jack. They married in 1952 and shared 62 years of marriage. Jayne loved being the matriarch of her large Irish Catholic family and dedicated her life to them. Jayne enjoyed decorating her home and loved having family gatherings. Memories of Christmas Eve at Grandma Jayne's on James Street will always be cherished. She enjoyed family vacations at Harvey's Lake, Red Bank New Jersey and Myrtle Beach. Jayne was a devout Catholic and was a lifelong member of St. John's Church. Jayne will be remembered especially for her grace, kindness, wit, infectious laugh, strength and generosity. She was our hero.

Jayne is survived by her loving children Kevin (Mary), Joanne Taylor, Jerry (Sharon), Joey (Martha), Jackie (Chet) Kupiec and her son in law Joe Barnes. She is also survived by her 24 grandchildren, John, Jeffrey and Jason, Shalea and Alicia, Timmy and Nicole, Katie, Jerome, Danny, Carolyn and Patrick, Kristen, Kelley, Patrick and Erin, Jennie, Joey and Jayne, Megan, Sarah, Kelly, Jake and Grace and 24 great grandchildren, nieces MaryCay, Julie & nephew, Bobby Gosney and several cousins and friends.

Jayne's family would like to express their gratitude to the dedicated staff at Willow Point Nursing Home Southside 2 for their exceptional care.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Ave. Binghamton, NY on Friday, October 28th at 11 A.M. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in memory of Jayne be made to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in care of Saints John and Andrew Church, 7 Livingston Street, Binghamton, NY 13903.
