Obituary of Catherine M. Logue

Catherine M. O'Reilly Logue, 91 of Vestal, died Friday January 17, 2014 at her residence. She was predeceased by her husband and best friend, Roy M. Logue; her brothers, Thomas and Ruth O'Reilly, Richard and Rita O'Reilly; and nephew, Richard M. O'Reilly. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Larry and Tina O'Reilly, Bob O'Reilly, Mary Ellen and Mike Griffin, Marcia O'Reilly, Sharon and Ray Welch, Catherine E. O'Reilly, Dennis and Joanne O'Reilly; several special grandnieces and nephews. She was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and spent her summers at Lake Timberline, St. Joseph, PA and at her husband's camp in Costello, PA. She was retired school teacher having taught at Covington, Austin and Coudersport, PA schools from 1943-1947 and taught at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Binghamton from 1947 until 1979. She was a graduate of Mansfield State Teachers College. Special thanks to the Hearth at Castle Gardens in Vestal. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main Street, Vestal Monday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, St. Joseph, PA in the spring. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Monday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Catherine may be made to Preserve St. Joseph's Church, 23126 State Rt. 267, Friendsville, PA 18818
