My thoughts and prayers are with Rick's family and friends. I grew up on Seminary Avenue. Rick was a few years older than me. My paper route went up to Chestnut Street. I would see Rick and his parents on their porch. They could see all the way down Seminary Avenue! After college my wife and I lived on Seminary Avenue right across from Seton. I would walk to work in downtown Binghamton everyday. Rick would always tell me "Cooch" I always have your back! One time I was heading back to the office when Rick had a minor accident. I opened the car door and asked Rick if he was alright? He was a little confused, but thank God he was not bleeding! Within minutes the fire department was on scene and helped get him out of the car. I would see Rick, always had a big smile on his face and would ask me "Cooch, how are you doing and how are your brothers doing?" He was always very friendly and we spent a few minutes chatting! This earth has lost a person but Heaven has received a great soul? Rest in Peace Rick, your friend "Cooch" from Seminary Avenue.

My heartfelt condolences to Billy and all of Rick’s family. Rick was a good friend who always had kind words for me and my family. I have so many memories but suffice it to say that we had a lot of laughs. RIP Ricky.

Ricky and I would talk for hours on the martial arts. He was a true Martial artist!

RIP Rick. You were the best godfather I could have asked for. I always enjoyed coming to town and visiting with you whether it be having bite to eat or going to a bookstore or checking out a movie. You will be greatly missed.

We will miss Rick walking thru town to either Chris’s Diner or Danny’s. I first met Rick at Wagners Bakery around ‘78 talking of Martial Arts. He will surely be missed and the West Side will seem that more empty. Rick is on a new journey and I only hope our paths will cross again.
