Obituary of Margaret C. Goodman

Margaret C. Goodman, 89 of Binghamton died Friday, January 17, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Anna O'Connor; her beloved husband, Vincent J. Goodman; her brother, Dr. John O'Connor; her sisters, Anne Mullen, Sally O'Connor, and Helen Updike. She is survived by her loving children, Nancy Dinaburg, Endicott, Sally and Robert Jovell, Voorheesville, Diane and Wayne Paro, Binghamton, Robert and Kathy Goodman, Loudonville; her grandchildren, Anna and Langdon White, David Dinaburg, Kelly and Scott Obermayer, Shannon and Adam Paro, Brian and Sheila Goodman; great grandchildren, Thomas, Morgan and Ian White, Sean, Liam and Aiden Obermayer; her sister, Betty Budd, Va; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton. Margaret was a graduate of St. Patrick's Academy, Binghamton and for 29 years managed the cafeteria at Catholic Central High School and Seton Catholic Central High School. The family wishes to thank the staff of Good Shepherd-Fairview Home for their care for over three years and thanks to Dr. Ramanujan for his care and concern. Special thanks to the staff of Binghamton General Hospital for making her last journey peaceful. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton Monday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
