Obituary of Troy V. Smith

Troy Valdez Smith, 26, of Johnson City, died July 4, 2022. Troy resided in Johnson City, NY and lived in Broome County all his life. Troy graduated with Regents from Johnson City High School and enjoyed playing basketball and socializing with friends. Later in his life Troy found his love for music and recorded songs in the studio. For employment, Troy worked many jobs with his last being in retail. Troy was a "Momma's Boy" and would often lend a helping hand around the house. He was very protective of the ones he loved. Troy is survived by his mother, Nancy Huston, his father Trozell Smith, his siblings, Zachary Huston, Derek Small, Kadeijjah Clemons and Chantelle Smith; also by four nephews and three nieces. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. David C. Seaver will officiate. The family will receive friends a the McCormack Funeral Home, Saturday from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
