Obituary of Melita M. Hattala

Melita M. Hattala, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2022. She was the youngest daughter of Stefan and Theresa Basa and was born March 11, 1932 in Conklin,NY. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Charles L. Hattala, her parents, and her 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters Tina (Donald) Kunkel, Dianna Hattala and Melita Nagerl; 2 granddaughters Kathleen and Kerri Kunkel; and many nieces and nephews. She was a parishioner of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Binghamton and was retired from Frito-Lay. A Funeral Mass will be offered at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Clinton Street, Binghamton, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
