Gardiner, John "Jack" Endwell: John "Jack" Gardiner, 76, of Endwell, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, August 1, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Jean and George Gardiner of Motherwell, Scotland. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Christina Gardiner of Endwell; his children, Lynn Marion of Spencer, Alan (Sharyon) Gardiner of Binghamton; grandchildren, Christopher and Heather Marion, Harrison and Addison Gardiner; great-granddaughter, Michaela Wood; one sister, Margaret (Allan) Joyce; in-laws, James, Joseph (Gerrie) and Ian McGlade; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Ithaca Jaycees for five years where he received a Junior Chamber International Senatorship in 1970 at a convention in Rochester, chairman of the Ithaca Fresh Air Fund, and a member of both the Ithaca and Binghamton Country Clubs. After serving as vice-president of Wallace Steel Corp and as a project manager at CIVES Corp, he founded JAX Structural Inc. located in Johnson City were he retired after 35 years of service. He was an avid golfer and an active participant in the Ely Park senior league. He enjoyed following his hometown Motherwell Football Club and playing soccer with his grandchildren and beloved scottie, Fiona. The family wishes to thank the staff of Wilson Medical Center for their kindness over the past month. Memorial services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Saturday at 3 p.m. Reverend David C. Seaver will officiate. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Saturday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Jack may be made to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street, Binghamton, NY 13903.
