Obituary of Lucy J. McCarthy

Lucy (Lee) McCarthy, 80 of Endicott, died Monday April, 25, 2022 at Mercy House of the Southern Tier. She was predeceased by her husband Paul F. McCarthy and her parents, Edward Lee and Helen (Sweeney) Lee. She is survived by her daughters, Molly Tomancik (Brian) of Vestal and Kathleen McCarthy (Kevin) of Parkersburg, PA and her granddaughters Abigail and Laura McCarthy. Lucy enjoyed spending time with her family, going to auctions and playing cards with friends. She looked forward to lunches with her cousins and was member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott and very active in the Our Lady of Sorrows Church Ladies Auxiliary in Vestal. She was a teller for Bank of New York/Key Bank (Round Bank) and was an administrative assistant in the Guidance Office for the Vestal School District. She was also the Parish Secretary for Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal for 20 years. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main Street, Vestal, Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Friendsville, PA. The family will receive friends at the J. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Thursday from 9:30 until 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Lucy's memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760 or to Our Lady of Sorrows Church Food Pantry, 801 Main Street, Vestal, NY 13850.
