Donald T. Foley, 83, of Brackney PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Jan. 2nd. Don was born in Johnson City, NY to John and Margaret Foley. He was one of 9 children, with 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Don graduated from Johnson City High School and married his high school sweetheart, Jackie. They raised their family in Binghamton and Brackney, PA at the home he worked to build with his own hands. They enjoyed 30 years of a happy marriage together. Don worked as a Binghamton Firefighter for 26 years. After the death of Jackie, Don met, fell in love with and married his second wife Carol. They enjoyed many years vacationing together, spending family time together, and playing with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Don was a life long parishioner of St. James church in Johnson City, where he was actively involved in helping with funeral luncheons. Don was a member of the AOH, and took great pleasure and pride in his Irish heritage. He enjoyed trips to Ireland with his family. Don was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline and his grandson Dominick, as well as all of his siblings. He is survived by his wife Carol, his children Eric (Rebecca) Foley, Maggie (Rick) Annunziata, Patricia (Kirk) SImonis, Deborah (Alan) Hughes, Kevin (Karen) Mullins, Gerald (Karry) Mullins, Daniel (Lisa) Mullins, Scott (Kelly) Mullins, 20 grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, his brother in-law Roger Posthumus, his sister-in-law Arlene Foley, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved labrador-Diesel. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Main Street, Johnson City, Friday at 1 p.m. Burial will be at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Silver Lake, PA in the spring. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Don's memory may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, www.stjude.org.
