Obituary of Lawrence J Casey

Lawrence J. "Larry" Casey, 84, of Binghamton, formerly of Brackney, PA, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, Archie and Elizabeth Casey and several brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy McDonough Casey; his children, Lawrence and Ellen Casey Jr., John and Michele Casey, Patrick Casey, Mary and John Constantine, Paul Casey; six grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Allison, Timothy, Katie, Kyle; three great-grandchildren, Michael, Bryan, Logan; a sister, Bernice DeGroat; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Augustine's Church, Silver Lake, PA. Larry was a retired Division Manager for American Home Foods. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 30 years. He was a graduate of Command Generals Staff College and past Commander of American Legion Post 1227. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Peter T. Campon Council 206 and the 4th Degree Assembly, and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Augustine's Church, Silver Lake, PA, Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday from 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Larry may be made to St. Augustine's Church, PO Box 75, Friendsville, PA 18818
