Mrs. Earley would welcome every one of the neighborhood lads and lasses and let us play hide and seek, sleigh ride and hide out in the "fort" that we had underneath the back porch where Jake would "hold court" in the stuffed chair that was donated to the cause after it had finished its useful days in the Earley living room. We were ALL welcome for snacks, to warm up and to share the love that the Earley household was so known for. Jake will be missed, he was a kind as well as a fun person. Wonderful times growing up on Vestal Avenue!!!!!
