Obituary of Nancy Canaday

Nancy Canaday, 81, passed away peacefully at Elizabeth Church Manor on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Julia and Paul Mills, three brothers, Paul, John and Robert Mills and her ex-husband, John Canaday who was the love of her life. Nancy is survived by her brother Richard and sister Maude Adams and sister-in-law Beverly Mills. She has many nieces and nephews, Paul, Diane, Cathy, Patty, Margaret, Eddie and Michael and many great nieces and nephews and so many friends. She graduated from Chenango Forks and went to Broome to become a Medical Office Assistant. She loved to travel and lived in Alaska and Hawaii to name a few places she loved. She loved to volunteer and was always lending a hand where needed. The family would like to thank the staff at Elizabeth Church Manor and St. Louise Manor for all their compassion and care. A special thanks to Melanie Riese, her very dear friend. She will be missed. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. Rev. Timothy Taugher will officiate.
