Dorothy Louise Kasabian, 89, of Johnson City, died peacefully at her home on July 23, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, George K. Kasabian. She is survived by her sons, George Michael Kasbian, Johnson City, Paul Stephen Kasabian, Johnson City and John (Pamela) Kasabian, Sacheon, South Korea; three grandchildren, Aubrey Ammerman, Taylor (Millicent) Kasabian, Logan (Melissa) Kasabian; seven great grandchildren, Amelia, Thaddius, Asher, Seguin, Genevieve, Della and Lainey; her sister Maryanne(Richard) Casterline, Little Meadows, PA.; also several nieces, nephews and special friends. Dorothy graduated from Binghamton High School. She worked for Prudential as an office manager in her early years. She was a lifelong member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Church, Binghamton. She served in the parish office for many years and was a Eucharistic Minister and lector. She was a member of the Secular Franciscans and the Altar Rosary Society. We would like to thank Hospice for all they did. You went above and beyond for her.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, 148 Clinton Street, Binghamton, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Dorothy's memory may be made to St. Cyril's Repair My Church Fund, 148 Clinton Street, Binghamton, NY 13905.
