Obituary of Monica Foy

Foy, Monica Binghamton: Monica Foy, 51, of Binghamton, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 29, 2012, at her home. She was predeceased by her brother, James A. Foy. She is survived by her sons, Daniel Foy, Zachary Mireider, Matthew Mireider; her parents, Richard and Nancy Foy; her sisters, Maria Maddison, Elizabeth Foy-Lowrey and Gregor Lowrey, Sarah Cronin; her aunt, Barbara Russell; several nieces, nephews, and a great nephew and many dear friends. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, where she taught CCD for many years. She was a graduate of Seton Catholic Central High School Class of 1979 and Broome Community College. She retired as a claims adjustor for State Farm Insurance Co. and was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. She was an avid NY Giants fan and was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Silver Lake, PA, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Maria Maddison, 42 Davis St., Binghamton, NY 13905.
