Obituary of Santa Anzalone
Please share a memory of Santa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Santa Anzalone passed away peacefully from this life on July 8, 2021 with family by her side. She was 80 years old and truly lived a blessed life.
She is survived by her beloved husband Roberto Anzalone, loving daughter Gabriella McAleer, three sons Robert Anzalone Jr., Francesco "Frankie" Anzalone and Joseph Anzalone, three grandchildren Kaiva Anzlone, Ella McAleer and Laila Anzalone, her brother Giuseppe Sturiale and family, as well as many loving cousins.
Santa was born in Rocchenere, Italy and came to the United States at 15 years old. She first worked as a seamstress with her Aunt Helen in New York City. When she got married in 1967, she moved to Binghamton, NY and worked with her husband at Anzalone's Tailor Shop for over 40 years. There, she tailored many dresses for many weddings and proms, making many women, both young and old, very happy.
Santa loved her family and fed them very well, especially for Sunday dinners. She was not only an expert cook but also a loving mother who never turned away from her family, no matter what. As a strong believer in the Catholic faith, Santa prayed every day and made everyone feel special, no matter what color, creed, or nationality you were. She taught her children love, respect, devotion, compassion, friendship, and the value of family. She was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City.
Santa was not only a devoted mother but also a loyal wife for over 50 years. No matter what hardships she faced, she never left her family's side and loved them unconditionally. Whenever she had company over, she made sure you were fed and happy. She was a true saint, just as her name means.
Santa always talked about her parents and the rest of her family, including her little Baby Angel whom she lost years ago. Her prayers meant so much to her. God has come to stop her suffering. She now joins her parents, family, and her little Baby Angel in Heaven.
