Florence M. Hill (April 11, 1926 – June 5, 2021) On June 5th, 2021, Florence M. Hill went to be with the Lord. Florence is reunited with her parents, Florence and Raymond Reynolds, her sister Stella Comfort, her brothers Francis and Nicholas Sorge, her grandson, Charles Michael Miller, and her loving husband of 43 years, Walter Clair (Barry) Hill. Florence grew up in Davenport, New York, with the love and support of Josephine Brockway. Florence was an avid reader and lover of books; she worked in the Binghamton Public Library System for many years. Florence was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church for over five decades and volunteered her time to numerous church rummage and bake sales. Florence is survived by her children Carol (Charlie) Miller, Dave (Claudia) Cook, Cherie (Richard) McCormick, Edwin (June) Hill, and Gary (Jan) Johnson, as well as seven (7) grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 12th, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, with a memorial service immediately following, Rev. Harold Wheat will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity in Florence's name. Until we meet again, raise your glass (preferably one of Barry's famous manhattans) and keep the laughter and music flowing.
