Obituary of John L Sullivan

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The angels came for John on Friday, December 6, 2013. Born July 23, 1963, he was a proud Leo. John was the meaning of the saying "when Irish eyes are smiling." He lost his battle with cancer after a long and vigorous fight. John was predeceased by his adoring mother Diane Maczko Sullivan. He leaves behind his wife and life partner, Patty; his loving sister, Ann Marie (Jerry) Phalen; stepchildren, Jim and John Knapp; aunts and uncles, Cheri and Jerry, Melinda, Catherine and John, Judy and Edward Maczko; his father, John; several nieces and nephews along with countless friends. Graduating from Binghamton High School in 1982, the last year of the Bulldogs, he went on to work in various jobs in the construction field. "Jack of all trades, master of none" as he always stated. John worked for the SEPP group. He loved his early morning walks, hosting parties so he could spend time with family and friends and of course Neil Young. He will be missed by all that crossed his path. The family would like to thank Dr. Kloss, Dr. Barrett and their staff for all the care you have given to John. Memorial services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Monday at 3:30 p.m. Reverend David C. Seaver will officiate. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Monday from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Scully may be made to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, NY 13903.
