Obituary of Stanley C. Rector

Stanley C. Rector, 86 of Vestal, passed away peacefully Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Willow Point Nursing Home. He joins his beloved wife of 58 years, Shirley Ann Rector. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and David Patterson, Herndon, VA, Kathy and Fred Mesgarzadeh, Gloucester, MA. Stan was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Vestal and a U.S. Army Veteran World War II. He retired as assistant Vice-President of Marine Midland Bank, retiring after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club. Stan enjoyed bowling, was an avid NY Yankees Fan, loved bird watching and tending to his pond for the birds. The family extends our heartfelt thanks to the staff who cared for Stan during his stay at Willow Point Nursing Home. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Stan may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 3505 Vestal Pkwy East, Vestal, NY 13850.
