Obituary of Jean M. O'Neill

Jean M. O'Neill, age 89, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2013 surrounded by her family. Jean is predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Ash; her brothers, John and James Ash; and a daughter, Karen O'Neill. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John F. O'Neill Sr.; siblings, Robert Ash, Nancy (Robert) Sloan, Shirley Ash, Judy Marcus, and Francis Ash. Jean is also survived by her children, John (Arna) O'Neill Jr., Colleen Williams, Brian O'Neill, Mark (Theresa) O'Neill; and grandchildren, Erin O'Neill, John (Deanna) O'Neill, Katie Williams, Kyle (Tara) Williams, Matthew Williams, Brian O'Neill, Anna (Michael) Carr, Christina Fraser, Stephanie O'Neill, Joseph Decker, Matthew Decker, Jennifer O'Neill; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff on the 2nd floor of Elizabeth Church Manor for the loving care they provided to Jean. They are truly angels in nurses' uniforms. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Chenango St., Hillcrest, Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Francis of Assisi Church Thursday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Jean may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Memorial Fund, 1031 Chenango St., Binghamton, NY 13901 or to the charity of your choice .
