One of many fond memories that sticks out in our minds of John occurred years ago when we first moved out to California. John came out to California on a business trip & of course stopped by our home for a visit. We were so happy to see John, he was our children’s fun Uncle. John came in a Jeep with no doors and no roof, just a roll bar!! Crazy!! The kids just thought that was the coolest car ever. John asked us if we wanted to go for a drive. The kids were so excited. I on the other hand was a little nervous. Well the kids and I got in & off we went! As always John made it so much fun! About half way into the ride John said, “Who wants ice cream”? That’s the kind of man John was! He always made everyone have the best time! That’s how we will always remember John! He will be terribly missed by all that had the pleasure to know him. What a wonderful & kind man he was!
