Obituary of Sister Mary Bernardus Dwyer

Sister Mary Bernardus Dwyer, IHM died Sunday January 27th at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, PA. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ella Ward Dwyer. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by a sister Margaret Dwyer Shea. She is survived by three sisters, Patricia Dwyer, Phyllis Roehm and Sally Paniccia and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was born January 2, 1926, attended Binghamton schools, graduation from Binghamton North High in 1944 and Marywood University in 1956. She entered the congregation of the Sisters of Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1945. She held numerous teaching assignments in New York, Pennsylvania, Baltimore, Connecticut and Idaho. Friends may visit at Our Lady of Peace Residence from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. Donations in Sister's memory may be made to the Sisters of IHM.
