Obituary of Marilyn J. Shreder
Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marilyn Shreder, 83, entered into heaven and moved onto her next journey on January 4th, 2019 surrounded by loved ones, and to be reunited with her beloved husband Mark Shreder. She was also predeceased by her son Mark Alan Shreder and Daughter Mary Lescault who passed in 2018 and her son-in-law Barry Bowers who passed in 2013. She is survived by her daughter Julie Bowers and Grandchildren Matt, Alanna, Aimee, Stacee and Drew. As well as Step-Grandchildren Corey, Carey, Holly, and Brodey and many great grandchildren. She had many dear life long friends that added much to her life. Marilyn was a graduate of the Sisters of Charity Hospital School of Nursing and was employed by Lourdes Hospital and retired from Southern Tier Imaging in 2003. She then volunteered with the Lourdes Hospice Care Program. She was a Nurse for 57 years and proud of all of her accomplishments in that. Marilyn was also the owner of the Yarn Farm and as many know was due to her passion for knitting. She loved to make sassy jokes, read, do crossword puzzles, and as times grew more modern play the ever popular candy crush. She was thought to be the best mother and grandmother and queen to all those in the family. She was loved to the moon and back and will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday at 5 p.m. Rev. Jon Werner will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Marilyn's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
