Obituary of Christine M. Papastrat

Christine M. Papastrat, 86, of Binghamton, NY passed away on December 29th with her loving family surrounding her. She was predeceased by her husband Gus, son Louis, parents Thomas and Ellen Mantas and brother Charles Mantas. She is survived by her children, Terri Papastrat, Joanne (Ken) Avery, William (Susan) Papastrat, her brother William (Ardie) Mantas, and her beloved granddaughters Constance and Kimberly Papastrat. She was also survived by many extended family members. Christine was a graduate of the Binghamton City Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She thoroughly enjoyed her profession in many local facilities. She is a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Binghamton, NY. She will be dearly missed by all. Funeral Services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 214 Court Street, Binghamton, Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. Dr. Rev. Father Michael Bahlatzis will officiate. Burial will be private in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the J. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Monday, December 31, 2018 from 2 to 5 p.m. Trisagion Service will be at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Christine's memory may be made to the Lupus Foundation or to the charity of one's choice.
