JoAnn O'Loughlin Thayne, 76, of Binghamton, died unexpectedly Tuesday December 11, 2018 at her home. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Ann O'Loughlin and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Gordon Sullivan, Joe and Eileen Palmer and a grandson Nathan William Kipp. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William V. Thayne; her children Kathleen Thayne, Greenville, NC; Maureen and Jeff Bell, Evansville, IN; Lynda Kipp, Vestal; four grandchildren Ryan Bell, Zachary and Caleigh Bell, Jessica Kipp and Travis Kipp. Her great-granddaughters Emily and Lily Bell; her sister-in-law Theresa and Bob Poloncic; her brother-in-law Patrick and Myrna Thayne; several nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of St. Paul's High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Elmira. She was a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital in Urbana, Il. And was an office manager for several businesses in West Virginia. JoAnn dearly loved the West Virginia Mountaineers. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Road, Vestal, Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.
