Alberta Bottini Walsh Sherman died on November 17, 2018. She was born in Cuba, New York on July 16, 1919. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Walsh and her second husband, Robert Sherman, as well as a step son, Rodger Sherman. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Walsh Dixon of Binghamton and Manhattan, and two step-daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Michael Donaldson of Binghamton and Marsha and Charles Herr of Baltimore. She is also survived by five treasured grandchildren, Meredith Dixon-Bahr of Endicott, Dr. Jeffrey and Amy Dixon of Connecticut, Dr. Jeremy and Stella Dixon of Manhattan, Tracey and Gary Cornwell of Kirkwood, and Scott and Brenda Donaldson of California. She is also survived by nine adored great grandchildren, Rachel Sheridan, Matthew and Zachary Bahr, Ashlyn and Evelyn Dixon, and Audrey Dixon, Yasmeen Farhat, and Matthew and Kali Cornwell. A tenth great grandchild is expected in December. She graduated from Syracuse University and taught in the Johnson City High School for 30 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She loved to travel, but spent her last years enjoying good friends of the St. John Vianny Society and the Oak St. and JC Senior Centers. She was fortunate to be able to stay in her home until she was over 99 years old due to the dedication of her daughter and cherished family friends, Sandra Kilgallon, Theresa Spafard and Cathy Pratt. A private Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
