Elizabeth (Betty) (King) Garrett, 92, of Binghamton, died Thursday September 6, 2018. She was born May 4, 1926. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Robert Garrett; her parents James A. and Helen (Millard) King; her brother James King. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Robert V. Amirian; her granddaughter Rebecca Amirian and her grandson Daniel Amirian. She grew up in Bronx, NY and attended the Barbizon School of Modeling in her late teen years. As a child she spent many happy summers with her grandmother in Sherburne, NY. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved old movies and chocolate and would share many stories about growing up in New York City. She had many friends and was very close to her brother Jimmy. She loved her home in Chenango Bridge and also enjoyed gardening and reading. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Timothy J. Taugher will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
