Elizabeth T Holleran, 89, of Binghamton New York, passed away in her sleep Wednesday, August 22, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mary Lannon; her loving husband of 64 years Robert Holleran Sr.; her brother John Lannon and brothers-in-law Martin Holleran Jr. and James Holleran. She is survived by her children, Madeline Rockwell RSM of Rochester NY, Mark and Gail Holleran, Matthew and Diane Holleran, Susan and Kenneth Mansfield of Binghamton, NY, Robert Jr. and Carol Holleran of Hudson, NH; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her loving brother and sister Thomas and Alice Lannon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joseph and Virginia Holleran; sisters-in-laws, Joan Holleran, Nancy Holleran; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She had a great love of music and loved to rally us in the morning to the tune of the When the Red Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin' Along. Mom liked us to believe that she always knew what we were up to either by her informant the "Little Bird" or through her training as a spy for the FBI. Grammie loved to give kisses on the backs of her grandbabies necks so she could get their "honey". The family would like to extend a special thank you to the North 2 Staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for the wonderful and compassionate care given to our Mother Sister and Grammie. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton, Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Silver Lake, PA. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Elizabeth's memory may be made to Catholic Charities of Broome County, 232 Main Street, Binghamton, NY 13905.
