Obituary of Catherine A. DePersis

Catherine (Katie) A. DePersis of Binghamton, 98, went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2018. She is survived by her two sons Alex (Mary) and Stephen (Lenore); grandchildren Danielle and Timothy Armstrong, Alex II, Dominic (Nataliya) and Matthew DePersis, great grandchildren Nathan and Amelia Armstrong, Andriy, Melaniya and Maksym DePersis, brother Joseph Fasano (Elaine) and loving sister-in-law Sharon Fasano (Phillip) and many treasured nieces and nephews. Catherine was predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years, Frank, who passed in February of this year, her devoted parents Stephen and Angelina (DisCenza) Fasano, Brother Phillip Fasano and Sister Jean Gill (Al). She lived for her family and devoted husband. Catherine and Frank will celebrate together their 72nd Anniversary on August 17th. Catherine retired from the New York State Court System and was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, where she was often asked by many to pray for those in need. She was always the first to laugh, give a hug and share a smile. Her kindness toward others will long be remembered by all she encountered. She was the brightest light among our family. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Court Street, Binghamton, Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
