Cyril (Cy) J. Keltos, 78 of Binghamton went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Mercy House of the Southern Tier. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna Keltos. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Kay (Rutter); sons, Michael (Jennifer) Keltos, John Keltos and Jonathan Leach, Joel Keltos, and one daughter, Joanna (Trevor) Tompkins; five grandchildren, Kaitlin, Benjamin and Nathan Keltos and Clare and Jack Tompkins; his brothers, Francis Keltos and Fr. Adam Keltos, OFM, Conv., and many extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Andrew, his sister Sr. Mary Louis Keltos, SSCM, and an infant daughter, Mary Frances Keltos. Cyril graduated from St. Patrick's Academy and LeMoyne College. Cyril was a teacher at Chenango Valley Schools for 33 years. He was a lifelong member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church and a member of the choir. Cyril ran for office and served on the Binghamton City Council representing the First Ward. The family would like to thank Broome Oncology for their care and service to Cyril. A Funeral Mass will be offered by his brother at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church 148 Clinton St., Binghamton, Thursday July 19 at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St. Binghamton, Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Cy may be made to St. Cyril's Repair My Church Fund, 148 Clinton St., Binghamton, NY 13905 or Mercy House, 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
