Obituary of Patricia A. Fitzpatrick

Patricia A. (Tyler) Fitzpatrick, 85, of Orlando, FL, died Saturday, August 24, 2013, at home. She was the daughter of the late E. Ray and C. Grace Tyler. She was predeceased by her loving husband, James J. Fitzpatrick; her sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Hazelton; her beloved great-grandson, Devon Fiorini Braungard; and her lifetime best friend, Stephie Kucera. She is survived by her children, Diane and Michael Phillips, Orlando, FL, James and Joyce Fitzpatrick, Johnson City, NY, and Sean Fitzpatrick, Orlando, FL; 8 grandchildren, Michelle Sevey (Nana's sweet pea), Daniel Fitzpatrick, Shane and Seth Fitzpatrick, Michael and Lori (OH), Kevin, John, and Mathew Phillips (CA); 9 Phillips great-grandchildren, Michael (USN), Christopher, Clay (OH), Ryan, Natalie, Daisy (CA), Elizabeth, Grant, Kyle (CA); and many loving, wonderful nieces and nephews. Patricia was a homemaker throughout her life and was loved by many. The Fitzpatrick home always had an open door policy for everyone. Many good times were shared there throughout the years. Patricia was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton. The family wishes to thank the staff of Vitas Hospice Care of Florida, who helped with her care during her final days. A Funeral Mass will be offered for her at St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, NY, Friday, August 30, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy in memory of Patricia be made to St. Patrick's Church, 9 Leroy St., Binghamton, NY 13905 or Vitas Hospice Care, 220 Lucien Way, Suite 100, Maitland, FL 32751.
