Henry Benko, 92 passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side holding his wife's hand.
Henry was born April 10, 1926 in Poproc, Czechoslovakia and immigrated to the US at the age of 6. He retired after 46 years from GAF/ Ozalid. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ann Gordon Benko and his 4 children. Kathleen Catchpole( David), Rick Benko(Mary Lou), Robert( Laurie), Michael( Marilena). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Vincent (Irene). Hank loved to fish, hunt, and woodworking. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Church of Saints John and Andrew Tuesday from 9 a.m. until Mass time at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the Church of Saints John and Andrew or Mercy House.
