Obituary of Esther P Conomikes

Esther P. Conomikes, 39 & holding, of Binghamton died Saturday evening August 17, 2013 at the James G. Johnston Memorial Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband, John N. Conomikes; her sisters, Calliope Romanos and Irene Connell; her brother, Rev. John Paul. She is survived by her children, Steve and Sherrie Yacalis, Binghamton, Frank Yacalis, John and Sveta Yacalis, FL, Alex and Frank Rozboril, Binghamton; her grandchildren, Demetra, Nick, Jason, Galen, Alexandra, Christiana, Andreas Yacalis, Vanya Cermak, Aaron and Jessie Seaman; step-daughter, Cindy and Frank Seaman, GA; sister in law, Eva Paul; several nieces and nephews. She was a founding member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Vestal and was the church organist and choir director. She was a retired administrative assistant at Binghamton University. She was a member of the Philoptochos Society; member of the Roberson Folk Dancers and a member of the Tri-Cities Opera. She enjoyed music and dancing and was the original organizer of Local Greek Orthodox Youth of America. Funeral Services will be held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 4121 O'Hara Drive, Vestal Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the J.A.McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Trisagion Service will be held Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Esther may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
