Obituary of Robert O. Davison

Robert O. Davison 90, of Vestal, passed away on Thursday March 1st after a brief illness. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Noriene, in October of 2017 and also by his brother in law Jim Dotman and his brother in law and sister in law Bob and Jane Sullivan. He was a 1946 graduate of Binghamton Central High School. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a 36 year employee of General Electric in Westover, where he held various management positions, retiring in 1987. Bob and Noriene were among the founding members of St. Vincent's De Paul parish in Vestal, NY. He is survived by two nephews and their spouses: Denny & Pat Sullivan and Chris & Betty Sullivan, all of Endwell. Since last May both Bob and Noriene had been living at Elizabeth Church Manor and St. Louise Manor in Binghamton, NY. Our thanks to the staff at both facilities for the excellent care they provided to both of them. Our Uncle Bob was truly "one of the good guys", may he rest in peace. Semper Fi. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Road, Vestal, Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
