Obituary of Phyllis Antos

Phyllis (Cacala) Antos, 82, of Endicott, NY, passed away on February 15th, 2018 after a long illness. She was reunited with her husband and soul mate of 57 years, Anthony J. Antos, Jr. Phyllis was also predeceased by her parents John and Helen Cacala. Surviving are her children: Sharon (Jim) Eleftheratos, Vestal; Joe Antos and Corey Adams, Irvine, CA; Tony (Desiree) Antos, Las Vegas, NV; Stacy Bowman and David Kreider, Endicott; her grandchildren: Tony and Sarah Eleftheratos; Kate and Bob Bowman; Joe, Nick and Gianni Antos; Nicole, Anthony and Alyssa Antos; Matt and Morgan Bowman and their father Deron Bowman; her great grandchildren James and Blair; her brother and sister-in-law Bob and Sue Cacala; brothers-in-law John and Barb Antos and Ken and Sheila Antos; and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who always put family first. She loved to cook and bake especially Sunday and holiday dinners for her family as well as vacations at the ocean and playing cards and dominos. Our mother was our father's caregiver during his illness. She was the toughest, most hard working woman we've ever known. Mom was the rock who held the family together. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. A special thank you to the staff at Ideal Senior Living Center especially Shannon, Anne, Celeste and Alicia for the care given to Phyllis during her stay there. Also, thank you to the staff at Seton 1 at Lourdes Hospital who tried to make Phyllis as comfortable as possible before her passing. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Phyllis' memory may be made to Danielle House, 160 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY, 13905.
