On behalf of the Charles & Mary Litzelman family (for whom Kathleen was maid of honor), we wish to express our sympathies to her children Mary K., Anne and sister Teresa. The Dorner family has been such an integral & cherished part of our family, we can ONLY imagine the grief you ALL share at the loss of someone such as Kathleen who cared so greatly for her family.
We have a number of fond memories of Kathleen, Teresa, John and their mother Aunt Alice that we recall at times of grief that help us through our mourning. We recall a recent Litzelman/Cook get together with Teresa & Kathleen (July 2015 in Dushore) where we shared many experiences & remembrances of family members. We shall always be grateful for that.
There were other times of shared grief at family funerals. The Dorner family was there to comfort and express their sympathies. Kathleen, Teresa and John were with us at our parents funerals; Teresa & Kathleen attended Uncle Paul's funeral - for these ALL we are eternally grateful. On these occasions we always brought up many of the shared experiences we had on our farm & visits to what we termed "the city". Stories about how we used to ride the wagons, going through Mom/Dad's garden & sharing the abundant produce they always had for visitors are still fresh in our minds.
We are very sorry that distances prevent us at this time to be present for Kathleen's funeral. We will be remembering Teresa and ALL Kathleen's family in our prayers. We have many pictures of the Dorners in our photo archives which will help us keep Kathleen and her family's memory alive.
Again, our deepest sympathies to ALL Kathleen's family as you celebrate her life - a life well lived & certainly one of rejoicing when she heard these words "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Master".
