Obituary of Catherine Semcho-Blazey

Catherine Semcho-Blazey, 74, of Vestal, died Tuesday December 19, 2017. She was predeceased by her father, Commodore F. Lindsey and her broth er-in-law Joseph Broz III. She is survived by her loving husband James B. Blazey and her wonderful daughter and son-in-law Melany and Jason Palmer and a special niece she thought of as a daughter, Kristel and Greg Foland; her beautiful granddaughters, Erin and Emma Palmer; her mother, Mary Lindsey; her brother David and Susan Lindsey; her sister Maryann Broz; many nieces and nephews including her great nephews Alexander and Dillon Foland. She was a graduate of Binghamton North High School and Binghamton General Hospital School of Nursing in 1965. She was employed at Binghamton General Hospital from 1965 to 1973 and was Head Nurse, Unit Manager and MDS Coordinator at River mede/Bridgewater Nursing Home. Her family was the most important thing to her and she loved them very much. She loved every job she had in nursing and it was a very significant part of her life. She loved antiquing and had a business with her husband, "Impulsive Antiques". She had many close friends. She did not want to leave any of these people. Funeral Services will be held at the J. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Matthew Kennedy will officiate. Burial will be in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene, in the spring. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
