Obituary of Anne Moran
Anne Barbara Moran left this earth to join her husband, Francis J. Moran, on October 24, 2017. Anne was born on January 2, 1925 in Binghamton, New York. She graduated from Binghamton Central High School in 1942. Anne was happily married to Francis, the love of her life, for 66 years before his passing in 2013. She is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Bertha Petkash and brothers, Charles, Andrew, George and Rudolph Petkash and her sister, Helen Kovall. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Petkash, and her five children, Terrance Moran, James Moran, Patricia Almond, Michael Moran and Mary Ellen Fennimore. Anne is also survived by six grandchildren, Joel Moran, Shannon Moran, Michelle Atkinson (John), Brian Reilly (Shae), Ryan Moran and Daniel Moran. Anne has three great grandchildren, Stephanie and Brittany Atkinson and Braeden Reilly. Anne was a dedicated parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton. The Moran family would like to give special thanks to the healthcare professionals at Lourdes Hospital and at The Mercy House of the Southern Tier for their respectful and attentive treatment during the final weeks of her life. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton, Friday at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery, Binghamton. The family will receive friends at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy, in memory of Anne, may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N.
