Obituary of Earle Richard Wade

Earle Richard Wade (Dick), 84 of Vestal, NY passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017. He was born in Freedom Plains, NY on August 15, 1933, Son of the late Earle F. Wade and Ruth (Dickson) Wade. He is predeceased by his in-laws, William and Mary Lowery, his son Mikie Wade, Granddaughter Caitlin Wade Bridge, and Sisters-in-law, Teresa Mallette, Alice Erway, Helen Campbell and Doris Kiff. He is survived by the love of his life, Carolyn (Lowery) Wade, Daughter, Maureen Wade Coghlan and husband Dennis, Son, Chris Wade and wife Mary, Daughter, Kim Wade Swan and husband Scott. He was blessed with Grandchildren Matthew Bramlett and wife Monique, Ryan Wade and wife Denisse, Sarah Swan, Casey Swan and wife Nicole as well as Great-grandchildren, Hope Gardner, Kaylee, Jordan and Ethan Bramlett, and Ella, Mia and Jacob Wade. He is also survived by his Sister, Ann Clark, brothers in law, Mike Lowery, Al Mallette, Harry Erway and Carl Campbell and Sister in law Marie Stricker and many nieces and nephews. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for NY Telephone and then retired from AT&T to live on Keuka Lake for the next twenty seven years. He loved being behind the wheel of the boat with a cold beer or playing solitaire while overlooking the lake. He had a great love of sports, especially his favorite teams, the Miami Dolphins and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a loving husband, proud father; a generous, and wonderful Papa to his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and will be greatly missed forever. A private Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Friendsville, PA.
