Obituary of Madeleine P. Miller

Madeleine Miller, nee Park, died peacefully in Binghamton, NY on Friday, September 8th, 2017. Madeleine is survived by her son Kenneth, his wife Judith and their children, Sarah Rogers, Joshua (Heather) and Margaret (Tyler) Carlin; her daughter Carol Lampton and her children Sterling (Brian) Larnerd and Miller Sandow; her son Stephen, his wife Susan and their children Stephen (Rebecca), Christina (Gregory) Stevens, Matthew (Jessica) and Catherine (Daniel) Ryan; and grandchildren Geoffrey and Stacey, children of her son Donald who predeceased her. Madeleine was also predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Wendell Miller. 14 great grandchildren also survive her. Madeleine was born September 27, 1923 in Rockville Center, NY. She was a competitive and enthusiastic tennis and bridge player into her 90s. She was a 50-plus year member of the Binghamton Garden Club, the Binghamton Club, Trinity Memorial Church, the Junior League and Oteyokwa Lake Club and volunteered with many community organizations. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, 44 Main Street, Binghamton, on Wednesday, September 13th at 1 pm. Rev. Glenn Mahaffey will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Trinity Memorial Church, on Wednesday from 11am to 1pm.
