Obituary of Ruth M. Bennett

Ruth M. Bennett (Eiskant), 84 of Vestal, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 19, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mabel Schwendler; her first husband of 38 years, Peter Eiskant and second husband of 7 years, Raymond Bennett; son David Eiskant; sister Rita Miller; and brother Joseph Schwendler. She is survived by her loving son and his wife, Pete and Chris Eiskant and adoring grandsons Peter and Joe; brothers, Ray Schwendler, Charles (Alice) Schwendler; sisters Margaret (Bill) Kearney, and Helen Schwendler; many nieces and nephews; also survived by her husband Raymond's daughters, Suzanne (Doug) Kile and Carol (Nick) Bennett-Wynn. Ruth was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. She enjoyed traveling, gambling, gardening, and breakfast with the girls. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main St., Vestal, Wednesday at 10 a.m.. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Ruth can be made to the Humane Society, 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903 or the American Lung Association, P.O.
