Marie (Hogan) Buckley, 91, of Binghamton, passed away February 27, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Teresa Hogan and was predeceased by her husband, Francis Buckley; her siblings, Paul Hogan, Harold Hogan, Agnes and Armand Gabriel; her in-laws, Geraldine and Jack Hoban, John Buckley, Loretta and Ralph Seaburg, James Whelan; her nephew, Andrew Gabriel. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Joan), Teresa (Jim Odato), Bridget (Brendan Monigan), Monica; her grandchildren, John and Daniel; her brother, Ralph (Rosemarie) Hogan; in-laws, Mary Hogan, Dorothy Buckley, Theresa Whelan, Rev. Gerald J. Buckley; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of the Binghamton Township Historical Society, a 50-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a life-long parishioner of Sts. John and Andrew Church, raised in Vestal Center and residing in Binghamton's South Side for over 70 years. Marie had a foot in both the 20th and 21st centuries as she was an accomplished seamstress and needleworker but kept in-touch via her iPad. A Funeral Mass will be offered by Rev. Gerald J. Buckley at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Marie's memory may be made to the Binghamton Township Historical Society, 3808 Brady Hill Rd, Binghamton, NY 13903.
