Obituary of Ethel M. Osborne
Please share a memory of Ethel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ethel Mae Osborne, 80, of Windsor entered into eternal life on February 26, 2017. She was born on June 3, 1936, daughter of James and Jenny Wanamaker. Ethel was the youngest of eight siblings. She married Sam Osborne on December 11, 1954 and they raised four children. Ethel will be remembered most for her kindness and her generous giving heart. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She loved dancing, visiting with neighbors, crocheting, and spending time with family. She was truly a one of a kind person who had so much love to share. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Sam, who entered into eternity on December 7, 2014, her parents, sisters Margaret and Betty, brothers James, Frank, William and George, and granddaughter Elizabeth Gooden. Family was so important to her and they loved her dearly for who she was and what she represented to all of them. Ethel is survived by her children - daughter Vanessa (Scooter) Conway, daughter Patty (Fred) Gooden, son Rich (Margherita) and son Sam (Terri) Osborne, as well as her beloved brother Richard "Mike" and his wife Marge Wanamaker. Her kind spirit and warm heart will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren Jeff, Tim, Chris, Kevin and Andrew Osborne, Matt Gooden, and Brennum and Ciara Conway. She also has two great-grandchildren and is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She will always be loved and cherished. We would like to thank all of her aides and caretakers for the wonderful care and love they always gave to Mom, with a special thanks to Missy Phillips. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton and at the Edward C. Finn Funeral Home Inc., 43 East Main Street, Stony Point, NY on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. A burial service will be at the Edward C.
