Obituary of Paul J. Woody

Paul J. Woody, 81, of Port Crane died peacefully Wednesday February 22, 2017 at Wilson Regional Medical Center. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years Catherine M. Woody; a brother John Woody and sisters Betty Postlethwaite and Mary Montgomery. He is survived by his children Marie Woody, Nancy and Scott Phelps; Patti and Tim Kamp; his grandchildren Dr. Kaitlin Phelps and fiancé Dr. Nathan Thompson, Cody Phelps and Mary Theresa Kamp. He had many special friends including his golf buddies at Belden Hill where quality golf was scarce and laughs were plenty. He was a lifelong NY Giants fan. Paul graduated from St. Rose High School in Carbondale, PA. He retired from International Paper after more than 40 years of service. The family would like to thank the staff on the Cardiac Care Unit at Wilson Hospital for the compassion and care he received. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Reverend John P. Donovan will officiate. Burial will be in Port Crane Cemetery, Port Crane in the spring. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Paul's memory may be made to the Port Crane Volunteer Fire Department, Box 844, NY Route 369, Port Crane, NY 13833.
