Obituary of Keara L. Mitchell

Keara L. Mitchell, 19, of Binghamton, passed away unexpectedly on February 5th, 2017 after a long illness. Keara, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, was born on July 3rd, 1997 in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Rachel Minium Mitchell; and maternal grandfather, Bernard Greenberg. She is survived by her loving parents, Dane and Kaethe Mitchell; her siblings, Conor and Niki Mitchell; her paternal grandfather, Carlos Mitchell; her grandmother, Joan Daugirda; aunts and uncles, Rudy and Faith Mitchell Weikel, Ken and Carla Mitchell Hoover, Mark and Maria Greenberg, Daniel Greenberg and Katherine Bialka, Emily Greenberg and Katie Beattie; cousins, Sasha, Taylor, Nate and Matteo Greenberg, Linsey Weikel Trego and Dustin Weikel, Jill, Amber, Kitawna and Dylan Hoover; many extended family members, and dear friends. Keara attended Binghamton City Schools, as well as Catholic Schools of Broome County, and graduated from Binghamton High School in 2015. She prided herself in her outstanding work as a coordinator at T.J.Maxx in Vestal, and as a waitress at Vestal Hills Country Club. Keara loved travelling, and reminisced fondly upon her time spent with family in California and Florida. She always dreamed of exploring new places, particularly New Zealand with her aunt Emily, and the west coast with her best friend McKenna. Every member of Keara's family knew that they could (and should!) go to her for top notch fashion advice, and Keara aspired to use her keen sense of style to obtain a degree and career in business and marketing. She will be remembered for her kind, unbiased heart, her witty sense of humor, and her unwavering beauty. Memorial Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Saturday February 18th at 1 p.m. Rev. John P. Donovan will officiate.
