Please share a memory of Elizabeth "Betty" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Elizabeth "Betty" Krisko, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Good Shepherd Village, Endwell, after a short illness. Betty was the daughter of Andrea Scala and Gertrude (Mason) Scala and was the youngest of ten children. She is predeceased by her husband Edward A. Krisko and her son Edward A. Krisko II. She is also predeceased by her parents, all of her siblings and their spouses : her sisters, Sr. Mary Consolata, Anne Dee and Gertrude Scala; brother John Scala; Marguerite and Luca "Lewis" Ferro; Andrew Scala and Helen (Pollack); Charles Scala and Maria; Edward Scala and Nancy; Ralph Scala and Shirley. She is survived by her son Richard Krisko and his wife Dawn; daughter Cheryl Krisko and her dear friend Phillip Augusta; grand-daughter Morgann Krisko; grandsons Garrett and Braeden Krisko and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a strong, hardworking person who was devoted to her home and family. She worked as a secretary from the age of 16 through the early years of her marriage until she became a mom in her late 20's. She was very engaged in her community and the school life of her kids, and she would be seen at every play and sporting event. Once her children were grown she helped her husband Ed with his accounting business until he retired. She was an excellent and tireless nurse and companion during his long illness. Betty was energetic and fun-loving. She especially enjoyed playing golf; watching basketball and baseball games; listening to music and dancing; cooking and baking; and having fun with family, friends and neighbors. She loved Lily Lake State Park and the beautiful blue sky. She loved to laugh and had quite the sense of humor; she was always ready with an unusual quip or expression that would leave people chuckling. (Lord luv a duck!) The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Good Shepherd Village in Endwell both in the memory care unit and on the skilled nursing floor for taking such kind care of Betty.
