Marian Frances Farrell [nee Pepsin], 88, of Hamburg, NY, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, November 14, 2016.Marian lived a life of faith and kindness, always generously open with both heart and mind to friends, family, and all who might benefit from a beautiful smile, word of encouragement, bright wit, gentle sense of humor, or shoveled sidewalk. An only child born to Stephanie [Bolebruch] and Joseph Pepsin in Johnson City, NY on April 12, 1928, she attended nursing school, married the love of her life, Harold J. Farrell, and lovingly raised eight children of distinct personality, all of whom hope to live the life she inspired in each of them. Her parents, husband, and grandson Willard F. Clarey III surely greeted her; she is survived by her 8 children, 6 sons- and daughters-in-law, 19 grandchildren and their partners, and 11 great-grandchildren. Kathleen Waschak (Allan, Joe, David and Carrie, and her angel Michael), Nancy McCarthy (Elizabeth, Keith, Mackenzie, and Margaret, Matthew, Alisha, Angelina, Alexandra, and Matthew), Margaret Clarey (Bill, Ryan and Katie, Daniel, Elizabeth, Mia, Adeline, and Danny, Kevin and Kim), Patricia Farrell-Cardosi (Mark, Maggie and Andrew, Caitrin), Daniel (Lori, Matt, Jamie, Penelope and Josslyn, Josh and Olivia, Stephen and Jennifer, Danny II), Mary Theresa, Coleen Nolan (Bob, Michaela, and Connor), and Michael (Ginny, Joe and Heather, Meghan and Gavin, Shannon and Kevin). The family wishes to extend great gratitude to Team 6 of Hospice Buffalo and Barb Clauss for the loving care they gave to both Marian and her family in these past few months. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City, Friday at 12 noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 4-7 pm. Memorial donations may be made to The Hospice Foundation of WNY, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227
