Ruth H. Bohan, "Ruthie", 85, passed away peacefully Friday, October 7, 2016 at Good Shepherd Village in Endwell. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years Bill on June 11, 2016, parents Clarence and Regina Schwab, brother Leonard, sister Mary Considine, brothers-in-laws and sister-in-law Luke and Mary Mullock, Jude Schappert, John Considine and Joseph Lehman. She is survived by her children William and Debra Bohan, Susan and Matthew Farrell, her grandchildren Marc and Michael Bohan and Kristen and Laura Farrell, sisters Jean Schappert and Anne Lehman brothers-in-laws Paul and Ruth, Karl and Joan, John and Barbara, Leon and Rita, Tony and Peggy, Joseph and Ellie and many nieces and nephews, godsons and goddaughters. Ruth was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. Dear to Ruth's heart were cousins Ned and Clare (deceased) Bohan, friends Anne and Charlie (deceased) Speicher and Mary and Ray Wright. Ruth and Bill were founding members of Our Lady of Angels Church and currently Church of the Holy Family, Endwell. Ruth was active in the Altar Rosary Society, Human Development Ministries, Ladies of Charity as a 27 year volunteer with Lourdes Hospital Auxiliary in the Café. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff and friends at Good Shepherd Village for their compassionate care of Ruth. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis St. Endwell on Tuesday at 10am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton on Monday from 4-7pm.
