Obituary of Anne E. Foley
Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anne E. McDonald-Foley of Binghamton, formerly of Vestal, passed peacefully on August 15, 2016. She is pre-deceased by her husband, E. Michael Foley and her nine siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Klein of Binghamton, Maureen Foley of Camden, ME and her step-children, Michael T. Foley of Pensacola, FL and Bridget Foley Brewster of Sacramento, CA and her grandchildren, Cristen Klein of Los Angeles, CA; Brendan Klein of Hampton Bays, NY, Justin Klein of Hampton Bays, NY, Kevin Klein of Oahua, HI, Dylan Aviles of Camden, ME and Aiden Aviles of Camden, ME. She was a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was very proud of her Irish Heritage and her very large family. She is the last surviving member of the John A. McDonald/Josephine-Reardon McDonald clan of 8 Lincoln Avenue in Binghamton. She inspired in her children and grandchildren the love of travel and music, particularly the Clancy Brothers. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed her weekly Bridge games and certainly loved a good party with her many friends and family. Anne worked for many years as paraprofessional in the Vestal School system and retired from B.O.C.E.S. as a home economics teacher. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Catholic Schools of Broome County for tuition assistance or Catholic Charities of Broome County. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, corner of Leroy and Oak Streets, Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City at a later date. The family will receive friends at the J. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday, from 3 to 6 p.m.
