Obituary of William A. Bohan

William A. Bohan "Bill", 83, died peacefully Saturday June 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Margaret Bohan; and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Luke Mullock. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ruth Bohan; his children, William and Debra Bohan, and Susan and Matthew Farrell; his grandchildren, Marc and Michael Bohan, and Kristen and Laura Farrell; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews; his cousin, Ned and Clare Bohan; dear friends, Anne and Charlie (deceased) Speicher, and Ray and Mary Wright. Bill and Ruth were founding members of Our Lady of Angels Church, Endwell, and currently members of Church of the Holy Family, Endwell, and very active in the Holy Name Society. Bill was a graduate of University of Scranton and attended Cornell University. Bill was a nuclear physicist and had a 34 year career with IBM Federal Systems Division. He organized retreats for men in Malvern, PA, for over 25 years. He was a leader of many St. Patrick's Day festivities and proud of his Irish Heritage. He was a Boston Red Sox enthusiast. The family would like to thank the staff at Good Shepherd Village and Lourdes Ross 1 for their compassionate care of Bill. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis St., Endwell on Tuesday at 10am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton on Monday from 4-7pm.
