Obituary of James Farmer

James P. Farmer, 75, of Binghamton, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Luella Farmer. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Kathleen Farmer; his daughters and son-in-law, Darlene and Luigi Resciniti, Whitney Point, Andrea Farmer, Bear, DE; his sisters, Marilyn McCann, Kathleen Potochniak; brother, Gary and Melanie Farmer; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews along with his grandpuppies, Chloe, Gussy Goo and Misty Too. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, Binghamton. He was a lineman with Local 351 of South Jersey for over 50 years. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and served in the US Navy. He loved going to casinos and horse racing. He enjoyed going to the mall and having coffee with his friends when he could, also McDonald's with special friends Bob and Sandy. The family wishes to thank the staff of Lourdes Hospice for their kindness and comfort. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Paul's Church, Binghamton, Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Jim may be made to Lourdes Hospice Program, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850.
